At the end of March, Kleur Paper Packaging Joint Stock Company met the requirements of FSC® standards and was granted FSC® – CoC certification by SGS – an international independent inspection company for the production process of paper cups, paper bowls, paper straws, etc. with input paper materials produced from forests certified by the FSC® Forest Stewardship Council. This is a set of globally valuable standards, helping consumers distinguish between products exploited from regenerated forests and products of unknown origin.
FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® – is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization established to set standards for forest management, both in terms of environmental and social factors. CoC (Chain of Custody Certificate) or Chain of Custody Certification, is granted to organizations that have proven that wood products have certified origins.
In the packaging industry in general and the paper cup, paper straw, and paper straw manufacturing industry in particular, the FSC®-CoC certification certifies the process of tracing the origin of wood throughout the production process. Thereby ensuring that the quality of the pulp is not mixed with uncertified pulp. Ensuring the quality of the input paper source is the first important factor affecting the quality of the finished paper packaging product.
